Abruzzo between sea and moutains

The Abruzzo region attracts fewer tourists than other parts of central Italy, and we really don’t get it. The highest mountains of the Apennine range are waiting to welcome you in Abruzzo! Trek through the plains below Gran Sasso Mountain, known as “Little Tibet,” for an unforgettable adventure. We’ll pass the charming villages of Castel del Monte and Santo Stefano, and visit the evocative location for the movies “Ladyhawke” and “The Name of the Rose” at the town of Calascio – a spectacular hike. The green hills invite you to enjoy the country air far from the beaten tracks. And last but not least, the Adriatic coast holds some wonderful surprises. Punta Aderci and its surroundings offer excellent beaches, perfect for a “hike and swim.”

Visit this unspoiled region and its beautiful and varied landscapes, relax at the seaside, and enjoy rustic, delicious shepherds’ food with a well-deserved glass of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wine.
